British made from recycled silver and gold
Every piece of jewellery has a story. I intend to create pieces that will become a treasured part of yours - designed to love for a lifetime and pass down through generations.
I can trace the beginnings of Katie Mullally Jewellery right back to my childhood. From my Dad’s Irish roots, my Granny’s antique silverware shop, and my Uncle’s part in writing Jackson’s (the ‘hallmark bible’), my Uncle, Michael McAleer, wrote the Irish section. The Katie Mullally brand has become a natural extension of my fondest family memories - rooted in history, heritage, and hallmarked silver.
A hallmark is similar to an artist’s signature. It’s a personal stamp on their work of art, and your guarantee that your new treasure is made from 925 silver. This tiny mark may be small, but it can tell you everything you need to know about your new treasure: the date, the purity of silver, the assay office where it was marked, and the designer.
Only Katie Mullally charms over 7.78 grams are sent to the either the Dublin Assay Office or London Assay Office where they’re tested for their level of silver. Only then are they stamped with the signature KMM hallmark – guaranteeing that your new jewellery is an investment to treasure forever, as well as a genuine piece of sterling silver designed to last you a lifetime.
In the UK it is only necessary to hallmark silver over 7.78 grams.
Made and designed with a lifetime of wearing in mind
It has always been important to me that our pieces are sustainable in style. KMM jewellery is made and designed with a lifetime of wearing in mind. No fast fashion, instead quality products that can be worn everyday over many years. The charms become a part of the wearer and their identity – something that makes you, you. Most of the charms have large bails so can be worn in a variety of ways, whether on a necklace, bracelet, keyring or bag. Charms designed to be stacked, layered, mixed, and matched. Add them to pearls, beads, crystals or chains and create a look that’s uniquely yours.
Timeless pieces that can be enjoyed, loved, re-enjoyed, re-loved and recycled.

Because I learnt from my grandmother the importance of a hallmark I decided to send all the Katie Mullally charms to be hallmarked as I believe it is an important part of your jewellery and the history to your jewellery, the KMM hallmark is exclusive to my brand. I initially started working with the London Assay Office and have recently started working with the Dublin Assay Office.

A hallmarked investment to treasure forever
I’ve come to learn that jewellery is so much more than something you wear. It is an investment in yourself, or a loved one, to treasure forever. That is why at KMM we hallmark our charms over 7.78 grams to distinguish their value. The jewellery is sent to the Assay office (either London or Dublin) to be checked for the content of silver 925. Once checked only then is the piece stamped with the exclusive KMM hallmark and the Assay Office marks.
